University of North Texas at Dallas, also known as UNT Dallas, overlooks the downtown Dallas skyline. The majority of the student body hails from the surrounding communities. Eighty-five percent of the student body is minority and more than 70% are first-generation college learners. The school offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate in law degrees. UNT Dallas offers 27 majors in the School of Business, School of Education, School of Human Services, and School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, plus eight graduate degree programs. The College of Law is also situated in downtown Dallas.

UNT Dallas is a fairly new school and awarded its first degrees to graduates in 2013. The main UNT Dallas campus, which is served by DART light rail, is expanding: Its first residence hall opened in 2017, and its student center opened in 2019. Full-time learners who are 25 years old or younger may live in the residence hall, and learners are not required to live on campus. UNT Dallas ranks highly for graduates with the lightest debt loads.
