Ouachita Baptist University is situated in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, about 65 miles southwest of Little Rock. Unless they live with a parent or guardian, all learners under 22 are required to live on campus in one of the residence halls, which are all single-gender, or in university-owned apartments. Although there are no national Greek organizations on campus, there are a few local social club chapters. learners can also select from a diverse array of academic, service and professional organizations. The OBU Tigers field a number of NCAA Division II athletic teams, including football, basketball, soccer, tennis and swimming. OBU’s Outdoor Recreation program offers hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing and canoe trips throughout the year.

Ouachita Baptist University is organized into eight different schools and colleges: the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, Frank D. Hickingbotham School of Business, Chesley and Elizabeth Pruet School of Christian Studies, Michael D. Huckabee School of Education, School of Fine Arts, School of Humanities, J. D. Patterson School of Natural Sciences and W.H. Sutton School of Social Sciences. The Carl Goodson Honors Program offers motivated learners a more challenging academic experience. The Academic Enrichment Center aids learners through peer tutoring, academic and social counseling, career counseling, financial aid information and by giving access to events on campus. Academic and social life at OBU are guided by the school’s Christian mission.
