At Guilford College, learners can schedule classes Monday through Saturday, from early in the morning to 10 at night. With its scheduling flexibility, the liberal arts college in Greensboro, North Carolina, attracts both traditional residential learners and older adults. Guilford also operates The Early College, which allows high school juniors and seniors to earn college credit before graduating. All learners can also cross-register for courses at seven other schools in the Greater Greensboro Consortium: Elon University, Bennett College, the University of North Carolina—Greensboro, Greensboro College, High Point University, North Carolina A&T State University and Guilford Technical Community College.

Outside of classes, there are about 40 student organizations to consider joining, as well as potential athletic opportunities on the Guilford College Quakers sports teams. The NCAA Division III teams participate in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Notable alumni of Guilford College include Warren Mitofsky, former political pollster and executive director of the CBS News election and survey unit, and Rick Goings, CEO of the Tupperware Brands Corp.
